There are a bunch of sites that offer free gift cards, prizes and things just for clicking in an email or using their search engine, or what have you. Sometimes they seem too good to be true, but there are many companies that you can get free stuff and isn’t a scam!
How do these work you ask? Well, they are paid for advertisements, much like a commercial on television. So they use that money to get gift cards and are basically paying you to watch the advertisements. I have two favorites that I use most often that have never done me wrong…..yet. :)
Swagbucks is a great way to earn lots of great prizes. You earn “swagbucks” by doing searches, playing games, making purchases, completing polls, watching ads, etc. etc. etc. They are also very well known for throwing out free codes on their blog or pop up on their page. You can turn your “swagbucks” in for a huge variety of prizes or giftcards, or use them to enter sweepstakes!
MyPoints is the same idea as Swagbucks, except you also will receive emails from them. The emails you get will have a link and you just click the link to get 5 points. These points add up very quickly. You can also earn points from printing and using coupons from their site, playing games or referring friends.
Of both of the sites I listed, I really like Swagbucks more. I earned over 300 points yesterday by taking advantage of a LivingSocial deal ($9 for 2 movie tickets!). That was a double score! Sign up for both of them, shoot, start earning some free stuff!
**Hint**Save your Swagbucks and MyPoints until the middle to end of October then turn them in, this will give you gift cards in time to get Christmas presents!
