We will be starting a new year very soon, it’s time to go back and recap the Best of 2011. Today we are talking about all of the best and most popular crafts from 2011.
The Freezer Paper Stencil is was my most popular tutorial of the year. Creating freezer paper stencils is fun, easy and allows you to make some cute things! If you have a cricut machine, you can use that to cut out your pattern instead of an X-ACTO knife. That cuts down on time and is a little cleaner.
Homemade glitter is super easy to make and doesn’t create the crazy mess than normal glitter does.
Silly Putty is a classic, who knew making it at home would be so easy? This tutorial shows you how to make it home for a fraction of the cost!
This is a fun and easy project to create. A package of crayons and a canvas can make a really amazing piece of art to hang on the wall!
This is fun to put up in an older boys room or your playroom. Turn an old skateboard into a shelf with just a few simple supplies.
Homemade Febreeze (or Monster Spray)
I love Febreeze, but hate how expensive it is. This homemade Febreeze is a cheap alternative that works amazingly well. If you have static issues in your house, this also helps to neutralize it. My son was scared of monsters when he was little. I would make this up and spray it throughout his room, telling him it was monster spray. I don’t know if it was the lavender smell or just the thought, but it helped to get him to sleep.
I love these little felt roses. They are easy to make and have so many uses. They make the cutest pins or hair clips.
I love these bookmarks. They are easy to make and can be customized for any one. Just add a little ribbon to a jumbo paperclip and you have a cute bookmark to keep your place!
