Regardless of the soil you are working with, Miracle-Gro® Expand ‘n Gro™ helps to transform it into an ideal growing environment. Expand ‘n Gro is made of all natural coconut coir. Coir is a lightweight, all‐natural material derived from coconut husk. Coir consists of 2 components: fiber (both long and short) and pith. When coconuts are harvested, the milk and flesh is used for food and the husk itself is used for a variety of uses. The long fibers are used to produce ropes, doormats, mattresses, automobile car seats, and garden pots. The short fibers used to be discarded, but are now being used as soil amendments.
I may not have a green thumb, but luckily Miracle-Gro® Expand ‘n Gro™ will help me keep my plants from wilting away. The coconut coir holds 50% more moisture than basic potting soil, then releases it as the plants need it. This is amazing! Do you know how many times I’ve forgotten to water plants?!
