When I was a kid, I would make friendship bracelets all.day.long. I loved them. My friends and I would make them for each other and always had an arm full of them. When I had a little girl, I thought maybe she would be doing the same thing, but the fad had faded….until recently. I have noticed that they are beginning to show up more and more. People are wearing them again. Each time I look at a friendship bracelet it brings a smile to my face. I remember spending so much time creating the perfect bracelet in my friend’s favorite color or to match an outfit. I would get in trouble because the safety pin was pulling holes in my pants or a pillow or whatever else it was attached to while I was creating my master piece. My Friendship Bracelet Maker has created a machine that is exactly what I needed when I was a kid to create these amazing bracelets!

I was sent the My Friendship Bracelet Maker Traveler™, My Friendship Bracelet Maker™ and My Ribbon Barrette Maker® to try out. I couldn’t wait to try the bracelet makers! That was my childhood and I was excited to try and pass it along to my daughter. She wanted to jump right in and start on a bracelet, but I knew she’d have some trouble without really knowing what she was supposed to do. I started the above bracelet on the full sized maker. So Kylie was ready to try one for herself. She picked a bunch of colors and we put them on the traveler.

A little while later, this is what she had created. Uuummm…good try dear, I think we need to work on this a little more. Let’s try to get it flat. We tried again and nope, it didn’t work. More of the same. I think maybe it is because she is left-handed and I know that changes the way she has to do things. We tried doing it backwards, but it didn’t work. Still was a mess. Okay, so let’s try the My Ribbon Barrette Maker®. Maybe that will be easier. I never made these growing up and had no idea how to do them. I tried, and failed. Kylie picked it up and while it wasn’t perfect, it was MUCH cleaner than her bracelet.

She wore this barrette for days and days. She is starting to make a whole bunch of different colors now.
I love how these makers each hold the colors separate and allow you easily see what the next step is. Instead of using a safety pin that tears up your clothes, each of these has a way to attach the ribbon and then separates each thread. I remember being frustrated as a child when my strings would get mixed up. These makers help remove that frustration. Each also has a small drawer built in to keep your supplies. You will have all your ribbon or thread ready for the next creation! When you purchase a maker, it comes complete with ribbon and barrettes or thread. You are ready to go as soon as you open the box.

Everyone should watch and really listen to this video. It needs to stop asap.
I watched the video and then I had my grandaughter watch it with me. It sends an important message that all kids should hear.
I could relate to this. it’s too bad when anyone has to pick on someone to make themselves feel better!
It is horrible what kids do. I would think they would know how it feels. I think everyone has been bullied at some time in their life. I can’t believe the schools and or teachers don’t stop some of it. I know they have to be more aware of things more than they let on. Kids should already know this stuff. I think kids are becoming meaner.
I’ve watched it before. It gave me chills again! It is powerful and I think it should be played at all jr. high and high schools!
What a great message. I currently mentor middle school girls, and this is a message that age group really needs to hear.
Thanks for the chance to win!

Great message! You hear about bullying a lot more today on the news and online and it’s about time!
when we made friendship bracelets we took a piece of cardboard like from the back of a notebook. cut a slit at the top and sometimes taped the threads there as well and several slits at the bottom moving the threads along as we went. it always stayed nice and flat and no pin holes.
