Summertime is the most popular time for moving.  So many people move between school years and during the warm season.  It can get to be very stressful trying to remember to get everything packed up, switched over and working in your new home.  Cablemover can make things a little easier for you.  They can help make the transition from one home to another easier by helping you change your address, find moving quotes, and transferring your TV, internet, and home telephone services and more.  Having one place to turn to and take care of all of these things that can easily be forgotten makes life so much easier!

Even with their help, it’s hard to always do things the “smart” way when you are moving.  You get half way into the move and realize you could have been a lot more organized and things would have been easier.  Below is a video from Libby Langdon and David Gregg to give you some good tips and tricks to make that move a little easier for you and your family.

  1. The last move was from Oregon to Washington. We left our cat! We had to drive back two days later and found him hiding in the trees!

  2. It wasn’t really funny, but I packed a can of paint and it spilled all over the car when we moved

My husband I moved from AZ to TX, we din’t have much space at all! It was sort of a start over move for us. So we used a trailer that was made out of an old truck bed my uncle had gotten for us for the move. We didn’t realize until we were in TX that you can make out obscene words on the side of the truck bed. It was very faded so we didn’t notice before the move, but nonetheless it was still there! Thanks for the giveaway!

We forgot to give the key back and turned out to mail it afterwards.

Retired military means a lot of moves. The packers have dutifully wrapped the trash and then packed the trash basket all of which to be shipped around the world. One packer searched me out and said … you have to do something. The hamster was screaming everytime the poor guy ripped off tape for a box. We ended up putting hamster cage in the car in the garage.
On the good side, moving every 2 years kept clutter to a minimum. On the bad side, now retired I have clutter issues. sigh

I’m not sure anything funny has happened, but it seems like we always have terrible weather for moving days! Thanks for the chance to win!

LAst time I was moving, I was in the process of going between the two houses and I realized I locked the keys to both houses in the old house!

  8. My husband is still moving 7 years later. We had a rental and then he remodeled it and still has stuff he needs to move so he can rent the place. Such a procrastinator!!!!
