There are so many recalls on dog foods and treats lately. It seems every time I look something else is being recalled. I hate feeding my pups any dog food at all, but people food isn't good for them either. There are ways to make safe Homemade dog food! I have heard horror stories about certain brands of dog foods sold in big box stores that cause a lot of health problems. I heard from several different vets not to feed this or that brand. It is alarming.
I went to homemadedogfood.com and looked at the Easy cooked dog food recipe. It is basically a mixture of ground beef, rice and eggs (shells and all) mixed with a few supplements. It is so easy to make, and when you make it up, if you make up a lot at one time…you are set for a while! You don't have to worry about making any for a while.
I could imagine that this food would smell great while it was cooking. The dogs would have to appreciate that compared to the gross canned dog food that you can buy at the store. I hate opening the can and the house stinks for a long time! Gross!
Homemade is the way to go. It is easy and so much healthier for your pups. Keeping your best friends in good health is so important. You want them to live long, healthy, enjoyable lives.
