I love Chicken Cordon Bleu, but have always been intimidated by it. I mean, it sounds difficult to make, right? I think the name itself sounds intimidating because it looks fancy. Anything that looks fancy has to be difficult to make…..right? That’s how it works in my head at least. This shortcut version is easy and a huge hit in my house.
Shortcut Chicken Cordon Bleu
Ingredients:
2 cups Chicken, cooked and cubed
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 Tbsp Water
1/2 cup Swiss Cheese, shredded
1 cup Ham, cooked and cubed
Egg Noodles, cooked and drained
Directions:
- Combine soup, water, cheese and ham in a saucepan. Heat to simmer, stirring often.
- Add cooked chicken and reduce heat. Simmer, covered, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes or until fully heated through.
- Serve over Egg Noodles.
Seriously, that is it! It’s so simply and really tasty! You can serve it with whatever sides you would like or your family enjoys. We did sauteed okra, but really you could use anything you’d like or have on hand.
When you try it out, let me know how your family likes it!

This sounds good. Thanks a bunch!!!
Looks yummy! I would make it later when it’s not so hot outside
