I was recently asked to try a new plug in for WordPress that allows my readers to find other posts that are related to what they are reading. That is a HUGE deal for me, since I have so many crafts, recipes, etc. I mean, how great is it to find a craft tutorial and then see other tutorials listed below that post. Great idea, right? I’ve used several different plug ins like this since starting Thrifty Ninja, so I wasn’t sure how nRelate would be different….but it was!
How is nRelate different?
I love that you choose how you want your related content to show up. Not every site will use the same layout, it can match with your way your site already flows. That is a huge deal! I hate when you see something that really stands out and doesn’t look like it belongs.
I added the related posts that show up like little Polaroid pictures. I think they are so cute!
Another thing that nRelate offers is the ability to monetize! You can opt in to allow advertisments to be shown, giving you a way to make a little money off of each click.
Installation:
The installation was so easy! I added the plug in and went through the settings to choose how I wanted it to show up. I waited for a few hours to see how it looked and realized it still wasn’t showing up. I went back through and saw there was an option for either Java or no Java. I switched to No Java and it was working.
My thoughts:
I would highly recommend nRelate! It is easy to use and love that you can customize it to fit your style and look. I am excited to have it on my site and am happy I was asked to try it out so I could learn how amazing it really is.
