Ninja Media is so excited to be helping with Kutz 4 Kidz 2012!
Let me explain what this amazing event is all about……
Kutz 4 Kidz was started last year (2011) to help children in the Albuquerque area that were going back to school. We all know how expensive back to school time is…..so this event was designed to help provide professional hair cuts and back packs full of supplies for those children going back to school that may not otherwise have them.
Remember back to school time when you were growing up? It’s like a fresh start…you get new clothes, new supplies and your hair cut so you look so fresh and so clean, clean to start out the year. What if you couldn’t get a backpack and supplies or what if your parents couldn’t afford a hair cut……you would be self-conscious and uncomfortable starting back to school when everyone else had those things. Maybe your mom would ask you auntie to cut your hair…then it would get messed up and boys would end up with buzz cuts and girls end up with short or uneven hair. We don’t want anyone to have to go through that, if at all possible!
This year, the goal is to give 2,500 children professional hair cuts and backpacks/supplies. That is a huge goal and we need help! There are SO MANY ways to help out! More than anything we are in desperate need of monetary and supply donations. Every dollar helps! We know not everyone has money to donate, we get that. But do you work in an office, can you do a supply drive? Ask your co-workers to bring in some notebooks, pencils, whatever to help us reach our goal! We will take all the help we can get! Do you have gift cards sitting around that you aren’t going to use? You can donate those and we will use them to purchase supplies to fill the backpacks! Kutz 4 Kidz 2012 will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the APD Training Facility. In addition to hair cuts, backpacks/supply giveaway we will also have a free BBQ for all participants, live music, car show and so much more!
