Over Labor Day weekend, September 1-2, 2012, Mamiverse.com will be attending the Festival People En Español Presented by Target in San Antonion, TX! This even will be celebrating Hispanic entertainment, culture and community! In order to keep everyone entertained, some of the biggest names in Latino music will be performing! Performances include Daddy Yankee, Luis Miguel, Prince Royce, Tito “El Bambino”, Larry Hernandez, 3BallMTY, and Banda Los Recoditos.
All of these performances would be amazing to hear! I love music, I love dancing and all of these offer fun music to shake your booty to! I must admit that of all that are performing, I think Daddy Yankee is my favorite. He has that Latin flare, but also does some hip hop that I’ve always loved. It is also funny when I watch his videos because he looks a lot like my primo. I love his spin on hip hop music, you can still shake your booty to it, but it has that Latin sound that makes me just fall in love.
If I were there, I’d love to grab my husband and dance to Larry Hernandez as well. His music reminds me of going dancing at the Fiestas over the summer. That was some of the most fun we have had in a long time. It would be so much fun to go see him in person and be able to dance.
In addition to these performances, Festival People En Español will be offering the public some fun opportunities. These public events are free and include the opportunity to listen to Q&A sessions with celebrities and telenovela stars, hear tips from leading industry experts on topics ranging from fashion to wellness, and interact with favorite brands.
Since I’m in New Mexico, I won’t be able to attend, but there are some fun Twitter Parties to keep those us that can’t make it entertained over the weekend! These twitter parties will focus on beauty & style, music and culture.
Virtual Make-Over ‘Salon’ on Saturday 9/1 at 3-4pm EST will mirror a ‘Beauty Day’ with your bestie, on-site make-up tips, techniques, etc.
El Mundo Baila Twitter Party on Sunday 9/1 at 3-4pm EST will focus on the Latin music featured at Festival, including favorite songs, pictures of key moments in artists lives, etc.
