Taosena’s Local Printing ~ Buyer Beware

When you find a locally owned business, you talk with the owners and really like what they have to say…it makes you feel good to buy from them.  What if that company in the end takes your money and runs?  That is exactly what happened to my good friends at Elite Music Productions when they placed an order with Taosena’s Local Printing out of Albuquerque.  Let’s go back……

There were some big shows coming up and one of their artists was in need of some products printed.   They put in an order after seeing some examples of the great work Taosena’s Local Printing had shown them.  The owner, Stephanie Vigil, took the order and guaranteed it would be ready in time.  She took a down payment and even came back closer to when they were needed asking for more of the money.  Not a problem.  They trusted that all of their products would be given in time for the show and of the great quality they had seen in her samples.

They were wrong!

Not only did she not have all of the items that were ordered, the ones that she did give to them were horrible!  They couldn’t even use them.  When they asked for the money back that they had paid out for all of products that were not delivered, phone calls were not returned.  Emails were not replied to.  Vigil basically fell off the face of the Earth.

Not only were they out the majority of the products they had ordered (and paid for) but what they did receive was not done professionally and could not be used.  Vigil now won’t return any phone calls or emails…what are they supposed to do?!?!

This is so sad, but happens all too often.  If you are dealing with a company (small local or not) be sure to research before giving any money up front.  It isn’t right that Elite Music Productions is now out several hundred dollars and have nothing to show for it.

What would you do if it were you that was out that money?

  1. Yep, it’s happened to me too. Tried a local business for weekly delivery of medications that I need. 1st week fine no problem. 2nd week, no delivery. I had to go up to see the place. Building boarded up. Was told by the Sheriff’s office I was not alone. That made me feel so much better! NOT. They also told me to make sure I check with the BBB. They have an online, and a “big city” office. Oh well.

  2. Our Band got burned by Stepanie too….. Its been a year and only half the cds (1000) were delivered and only a few out of those were good. To top it off she’s one of the members step daughter.

    • That is SO sad! I can’t believe it! I hope that more people hear about this and her business gets shut down. :( It has to end, it is so unfair to so many people!
