So many of my friends are either in college or sending their kids to college this year. Time and time again, I hear how expensive the text books are. I remember that when I was taking classes. My text books cost far more than my actual classes did. I tried to save money, thinking if I took classes online that I would save on books, only to find out I still had to purchase text books. Now I was paying more for online classes (distance learning is often more than in-person classes…..I know, doesn’t make sense to me either) and still buying books.
Campus Book Rentals is an amazing alternative to purchasing your books. You know when you buy a book, you sell them back at the end of the semester. You paid $165 for a used book only to be told they will buy it back for $15. You know what I’m talking about! I had books that I bought because they were listed as required, then never used. I only got a slight fraction of what I had originally paid…and the book was in the exact same condition as when I had bought it!
In order to show you the difference in pricing. I did a search for a book I would have needed while going to school for Early Childhood Multicultural Education. The Preschool Appropriate Practices textbook was $92.50 at the UNM Bookstore….but at Campus Book Rentals it was $18.19! That is a $74.31 savings or 80% savings!
Other benefits to renting from Campus Book Rentals:
- Free shipping of books, both ways!
- 30-day risk free returns!
- In business since 2007
- They offer live customer support
- Offer the largest selection of books in the nation!
- More flexible rental periods than most competitors
- You CAN highlight!
- They donate to Operation Smile for each textbook rented.

Have you ever rented text books? How did you like it?!?!?

Oh, yes. I remember how much books cost and the pitiful return you received when they were sold back to the book store. This seems like such a better system and deal for the student.
Thanks for sharing! I will check them out. College books cost a lot of money, and book rentals would be a better option.
