OrganWise Guys

Kids are curious and want to know things.  When it comes to their bodies, kids are very curious when they start to learn how things work and why their body reacts the way it does.  The OrganWise Guys were created in 1992 to teach children about taking care of themselves and help to teach them that their choices directly effect how they look and feel.

We received the OrganWise Guys kit and my kids were so excited!  They got into the box right away to see what was in there!  The box had several books and plush animals of the body part characters in the books.  My 9-year-old thought it was great because they were doing a lot of work learning about their bodies in school.  My 6-year-old thought the books were great.  He LOVES reading though and has read each of the books several times now.

You receive a paper with the kit that tells you to NOT open the box in front of your kids.  I made that mistake.  My kids grabbed up the plushies right away!  They even came in a black bag so they couldn’t see them, but it was too late.  Our Kidney Brothers were split up and each brother took one, because well, they were brothers!

Each week your family should choose one of the OrganWise Guys rules to work on.  The idea is at the end of the week to reward your child(ren) with a plush animal as a reward.  Well, I messed that one up.  But the kids do enjoy playing with them!
