On Friday I had a little running around to do, then came home to do some work and get ready for the kids to get off school. When I walked out to the bus stop, I am greeted by one of the dads that says,
Looks like you got a flat, do you need some help fixing it?
Wait, what?!?
I didn’t even know I had a flat, but I go to check it out and here’s what I see:
Not just a little flat….crazy flat. Like to the ground! In about 2 hours time, my tire went from fine to THIS! Well, I know I can’t get the tire off, but luckily my husband gets off work soon. We leave the tire until the next morning because there isn’t anything we can do to fix that late anyway.
At this point I’m kind of freaking out because I have a casting call Saturday at 12:15! I can’t miss it! Hubs takes the tire to get patched.
Guess what?
It can’t be patched. We need a new tire. Okay, that really isn’t budget right now since it’s a “specialty tire”. He comes home and starts calling around to see if he can find a used tire. We normally have great luck finding a used tire or two that are like new….and a fraction of the cost.
No one has one!
Okay, so plan B! He has to take me to the casting call. Fun times, right?
I’m dressed and ready to go! Hot pink pants have got to do it, right?! He drops me off and the call went great! I had a fun time and really hope I get a call back…..we’ll see! Kylie was having one of THOSE days. All the crying, screaming and fits was a lot to try to put to the side when I walked in, but I think I did a good job of putting it behind me.
After we were done in town the kids were starving, so we took them for lunch. When I got my fortune cookie, it told me “Luck will visit you on the next new moon.” Of course I had to look it up, since it was a full moon right NOW….but it said the next NEW moon is October 15, 2012. Okay, so what if I got a call on that day telling me I had gotten the commercial…..that would be crazy! I wish the new moon was on October 4, that’s the day I find out if I won the P&G Great Try Out (vote for AMBER daily through Oct 3, 2012)! That’s what I REALLY want! I need all the luck I can get!
