I make dinner nearly every night for our house and always try to keep everyone happy, but a lot of the time it seems impossible.  When I was offered a challenge of creating something fun with Tyson Diced Pepperoni, I knew I was going to find something to please everyone.

My family is slightly obsessed with pizza of all sorts.  We eat it very often and are always looking of different ways to make it fun.  I’ve made pizza nearly every way imaginable, but one of our favorites are these rolled up pieces of awesomeness.  They look so much harder to make than they really are.  They are the full package, easy, quick, and the taste outstanding!

I headed to Walmart to buy all my ingredients, family in tow.  You can check out my full shopping experience via my Google+ album.

Ingredients:

Ingredients for Pepperoni Pinwheels #WhatsYourTopping

  • Tyson Diced Pepperoni
  • Pizza Crust (you can make your own or buy premade)
  • Pizza Sauce (again, I opted for premade instead of making it myself)
  • Mozzarella Cheese

Directions:

Roll Out Dough for Pepperoni Rolls #WhatsYourTopping

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly spray a muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.

Roll out pizza dough into a large rectangle.  This is another reason the premade was easier, it was already a rectangle!

Spread pizza sauce over dough.  Try to get the sauce as close the ends as possible.  You will see I used light sauce, you can use as much as you’d like…we always order light sauce on ours though due to allergies.

Add toppings for Pepperoni Pinwheels #WhatsYourToppingCover the dough with cheese.  You can add extra cheese or light cheese at this point.  Beware that the more cheese you add, the harder the next steps will be (keeping it together when cutting).

Add your Tyson Diced Pepperoni and any other toppings you’d like.  We made one batch with just pepperoni and another we added green chile.

Roll Dough for Pepperoni Pinwheels #WhatsYourToppingNow roll your dough, jelly roll style.  You want to roll the longest edge in and continue to roll until you reach the end.

DSC03653Cut your roll into 2 inch sections.  Place each piece into your greased muffin tin.

Bake until bottoms are golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly, about 15-20 minutes.

Pepperoni Pinwheels #WhatsYourToppingRemove from muffin tin.

Eat as is, or serve with extra pizza sauce, Ranch dressing or whatever you like on your pizza!

These are so easy and the Tyson Diced Pepperoni made it so easy to create.  I don’t think they would taste the same with sliced of pepperoni, this was perfection!
