I have a slight addiction. Okay, well I have several..but one is my addiction to nail polish. I mean, it comes in so many colors! I might have 5 bottles of pink, but they are all different shades. Some have little specks of glitter, some don’t. One type of glitter might be a little different from another. Yes, I know..it’s sickening, isn’t it?! I love the stuff though.
What do you do when you have so many little bottles of polish?! If you put them in a basket or box, you can’t see what all is there. You might forget about that perfect shade of brown or whatever else you have in there. You need to display them, but putting them on a shelf doesn’t always work because they will fall off and a broken bottle of nail polish is the WORST!
So…..this is what I created:
Using the shorter boards for the outside, I nailed them into the longer boards, leave a space of about 3.75 inches between. To create the “lip” on the front, I cut a piece of molding (there are SO many different styles to choose from) and used wood glue to hold it in place.
Because I wanted the wood to match my cabinets and things throughout the house, I stained it darker, but it could be left alone, painted or whatever style matches your preference.
I haven’t hung it up yet…because I want to find the perfect location….but I HAD to share it with you. The project takes no time to complete and it works amazingly well.
